Bounce Mobile Dentistry adheres to the National Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and other relevant State Legislation. This policy dictates how we will collect, use and store your child’s personal information, and ensures that it is kept private and secure.
Personal Information
Bounce Mobile Dentistry only collects information that is necessary for providing our service to your child. This information includes:
- Contact details – name, address, phone numbers, email etc.

- Medicare card number
- Medical history, conditions and medications
- Health Fund details
- Photographs of patients
- Credit Card Information (Encrypted online form submitted through website)
All Information collected from your child are encrypted online and will be held confidential and secured.
Use of Personal Information
Bounce Mobile Dentistry uses your child’s personal information primarily to provide dental services and maintain our dental database. Your child’s information may be used for the following purposes:
- To contact you for consent, confirmation, missing information etc.
- To answer enquiries and resolve complaints
- To process health insurance claims
- To follow up further dental treatment or examinations as required
- To manage and maintain patient files

Your child’s information may also be provided with your consent to other health professionals so that they are aware of your child’s relevant medical history, and provide the best care possible. Your dental professional or dental services staff will let you know when this is necessary.

- contain a summary of your care
Security of information in the company
Australian privacy legislation applies to all personal health information recorded in electronic and paper records. All Bounce Mobile Dentistry complies with these requirements to protect you and your child’s information.
Access to your child’s health information
You may ask our dental services staff about any aspect of your child’s health care, including information contained in their record. You can req uest access to your child’s medical record and any other information the company records about them.
If you request access to your child’s medical record, your dental professional will need to consider if there may be a risk of physical or mental harm to you or any other person that may result from disclosure of their health information. Your dental professional may need to remove any information that will affect the privacy of other individuals.
Sharing information is important for good communication between you and our staff. Your dental professional or dental service staff is able to provide a full explanation of the health summary or dental record you are provided access to.
Depending on what is involved, you may be asked to contribute to the cost of providing the information.
Resolving concerns regarding the privacy of your child’s health information
If you have any concerns regarding the privacy of your personal or your child’s medical information or the accuracy of the information held by the company, you should discuss these with our dental services staff. Inaccurate information can be corrected or your concerns noted in your child’s record. For legal reasons, the original notes will be retained.
